Healthy years are an asset, and assets compound. A small, boring, consistent deposit — sleep, movement, restraint — pays out over decades the way capital does: quietly at first, then all at once.

Which flips the usual framing. The goal isn’t to not die; it’s to keep the principal — physical capacity — invested and growing for as long as possible. Spend it carelessly and you draw down the one balance you can’t refinance.
