Ten years of carnaval costumes, designed and worn. It started with wearing my samba school’s costume of the year. Then I began inventing my own — each one an idea I wanted to convey, in the form of wearing it. Little text below; the costumes speak.
Human meat
We are human meat on the supermarket shelf — vacuum-packed, weighed, labeled.

The Oscar
Full gold, statuette in hand. Everyone gets a photo with an award that can walk.

The Devil
Red head to toe, horns, cape, trident. The crowd decides what to do with him.

The Ram
Black latex, curled horns. Aries, out for sushi.

The Hulk
Green, with a smaller Hulk to carry.

Segura a Onda
Two waves in cardboard. Hold the wave.

NU-VEM
A pun you wear: “NU” on the chest, “VEM” on the towel, a cloud beside. Nu-vem — the cloud comes naked.

Jenifer
The year of the song. Name-tiara included.

When life gives you lemons
Lemonade-stand aprons, lemons in hand. Life é a vida.

The samba-school years
Where it started — wearing the school’s fantasia of the year, parade after parade.

The first one
Homemade silver-foil armor, dome helmet. Everyone starts somewhere.

The pattern behind all of this is on arcs. Ars longa, vita brevis.
